Bible Vereses for the School Year

When I discovered your words, I devoured them. They are my joy and my heart’s delight, for I bear your name, O Lord God of Heaven’s Armies.

Jeremiah 15:16

Hi, Belles!

I’m excited to write and share today’s post. Why? Because this type of post is one I wish I would have come across when I was younger.

Finding strength and delight in scripture was something I didn’t have one year of school. Not having that impacted my attitude and spirit. Sharing God’s promises and truth with others is extremely important to me.

Knowing the Word of God and spending time studying it is vital as Christians. That’s why in today’s post, I’m sharing some Bible verses to help you during the school year, as a student, parent, or teacher.

I chose each verse to help you and inspire you throughout the school year.

10 Bible Verses for the School Year

“Do not fear, for I am with you” (Isaiah 4:10).

Keep this word in your heart for when you have anxiety and stress about upcoming tests, homework, and more.

“We should love one another” (1 John 3:11).

Remember to love the lonely around you. Give a compliment. Share a smile. Sit with someone.

“If you don’t stand firm in your faith, you won’t stand at all” (Isaiah 7:9).

This verse is especially important if you attend a school that does not believe in God. Stand firm in God’s truth. Stand up for others with Jesus’ love in you. Stand in Jesus.

Do Not Fear

“One who is righteous is a guide to his neighbor, but the way of the wicked leads

them astray” (Proverbs 12:26).

Remember to choose good friends as well as to be a good friend.

“I can do all things through him who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13).

When you are feeling strained, remember this verse.

“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need

to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15).

Work hard in school and in growing your relationship with God.

“For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control” (2

Timothy 1:7).

Don’t worry about a stressful assignment or talking to somebody nobody else talks to. You have a spirit of power, love, and self-control to use in situations that you are fearful.

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight” (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Praise Jesus even in the times you don’t understand what or why something is happening. God has a plan for your life.

“Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe” (1 Timothy 4:12).

Don’t think that because of your age you can’t do what God is calling you to do.

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7).

Bring all your anxieties and stresses to the feet of Jesus. He will bring peace to your heart.
